Nina McKenzie Whitehead M.A., CCC-SLP
Nina Whitehead is the owner of McKenzie Therapy Company. She began the practice in March of 2015 where she saw a need in the upstate of South Carolina of children who needed speech therapy services. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (2011) as well as her Masters in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (2013) from South Carolina State University. She has worked in several settings but loves working in the schools where she currently serves Union County School District for the past 9 years. Her passion is language and articulation therapy from Kindergarten to 8th grade. She loves to get creative with the kids and incorporates literacy in her activities. Her hobbies include fitness, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her husband and son.
Keely Goff, M.A., CCC-SLP
Keely is a certified Speech Language Pathologist originally from Hampton, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011. She received a Masters of Arts in Speech Pathology and Audiology from South Carolina State University in 2019. Keely has completed specailty training in Beckman Oral Motor for treatment of speech and feeding disorders, and has clinical interests in helping the pediatric population overcome speech, language, and feeding diffiuclties. She is also expereince in caring for tube-fed children and currently serves a local school district. Keely is an animal lover and advocate, enjoys mexican food and sweet tea, boating on Lake Murray, dining outside, and all things Harry Potter.
Shaneika Mixson, M.A., CCC-SLP
Shaneika is originally from Allendale, South Carolina. She graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor's degree in Health Education Services in 2019 and received a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology in 2022. As a speech-language pathologist, she loves working with children with diverse needs and learning new treatment methods to provide the best care. The greatest thing that is important to Shaneika as an SLP is being able to make a difference in the lives of others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and playing with her flute.
Elizabeth McGillicuddy, MS, CCC-SLP
Elizabeth is a certified Speech Language Pathologist originally from Waco, Texas. She attended Texas Christian University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2015. She received a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland in 2017. Elizabeth is McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) certified and and has clinical interests in swallowing, cognition, phonological disorders and language impairments. She has experience in a variety of settings, including home health, outpatient clinics, and schools. Elizabeth currently serves as a speech language pathologist with Berkeley County School District. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and finding new restaurants around Charleston.
Leona Kelly, M.S., CF-SLP
Leona is a Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health as well as being a member of the cheerleading team. She received a Masters of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina in 2023. Leona has clinical interests in children with feeding disorders, pediatric dysphagia, receptive and expressive language disorders, and children who are hard of hearing. Leona enjoys spending her free time with her dog, Millie, or boating on the Charleston coast.
Lauren Grimes, M.S., CF-SLP
Lauren is a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow originally from Johnsonville, South Carolina. She graduated from Francis Marion University and received a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication in 2018. She earned a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina in 2023. Lauren has clinical interests in swallowing and feeding disorders and expressive and receptive language disorders. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, working out, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
